We are Getting Closer to our Shooting Range Launch!! 😊

While many were enjoying a day on the lake or barbecuing or relaxing at home on Saturday, we were hard at work resuming work on the shooting range.

We’ve been approached by more and more groups wanting training. As tempting as it is to begin offering classes, I really want to complete our facilities first.
With COVID fears still lingering as well as the ammo shortage and 300% cost increase on what ammo is available, we feel the time is not ideal anyway.
We are pumping a ton of our labor and resources to go to extremes to build one of the nicest ranges in the region.
We’ve spent every spare weekend working on the facility. We could have half-heartedly graded it and thrown-out grass seed and called it good but people that know me understand that I don’t do anything half-heartedly. This range will rival any other outdoor range in the region.
Since our last update we have run electrical service and water service to the range and installed irrigation on the berms.
Yesterday, we installed irrigation in the bay floor and run communication conduits to the backstop from the utility hub at the back of the range.
The next steps will be to seed the berms with Bermuda grass and stakeout the bay floor for the edging and fine grade the bay floor and work on acquiring telephone poles for the edging.

Charlotte Area Premier Shooting Range – First Phase Complete

The rough grading has been finished!

After several months of 75+ hour work weeks running our companies and then spending our weekends moving hundreds of yards of dirt, we finally achieved our greatest milestone for our shooting range last weekend.

We now have one of the largest action shooting ranges in the Charlotte region and will soon have the one with most amenities as well.

We are looking forward to our grand opening in a few months.

Now that we have the biggest phase of work completed, we will be posting our progress more frequently.

Premier Outdoor Shooting Range and Training Facility – Peacemaker, LLC – Breaking Ground!

When we started Peacemaker, LLC we set out to fill a much-needed void by creating an outdoor shooting range and training facility not offered anywhere else in the region.

While I have been remiss about posting much on social media, we have been working up to 18 hours a day and 7 days a week on countless, large projects. We have a lot of exciting announcements forthcoming over the next several months as we roll-out our master plan.

Today we passed an exciting mile marker towards accomplishing one of our first goals:

After months of delays from the incredibly wet winter and juggling the construction of our new training facility, as well as our incredibly intense workload, we have completed the rough grading of the berms of our new shooting range @ Mission Farm in Iron Station. We are very excited to have reached this mile marker. There is still a lot of work to do but the remaining phases will be completed much more quickly. The rough grading of the berms is by far the most time-intensive phase.

This will be the nicest outdoor shooting range and training facility in the region. Here are some of the highlights.

95’ wide X 175’ long bay floor with 18’ tall berms on 3-1/2 sides that will allow for plenty of elbow room while on the firing line and the ability to set up courses of fire for moving and shooting in a manner that will allow for engaging multiple targets at multiple angles.
Football field synthetic turf with cushion in-fill for the first 75’ and irrigated Bermuda grass for the remaining 100’.
Irrigated Bermuda grass berms.
A top-of-the-line professional grade, competition spec plate rack.
An array of steel silhouette and reactive steel targets.
Integrated loud speakers and lights for audio and visual commands.
shelter with picnic tables, electrical service, circulation fans, lights, and hand washing station.
ability to incorporate a course of fire with barricades and obstacles (including vehicles).
fun shooting events.
Interactive force-on-force events with role playing to prepare participants for real life, interactive scenarios.
introductory, basic skills, advanced skills, dynamic, low-light, no-light, and night vision courses.
capacity to run pistols, rifles, shotguns, and all three (3 gun).
